Funds are provided by the Foundation to study topics such as:

Literacy and media analysis of decision support materials

Legal implications of informed medical decision making

National surveys to assess the state of medical decision making

Economic impacts of informed medical decision making

Through its research programs, the Foundation gathers information to analyze the impacts of decision support in health care from several perspectives. This continual learning process helps to guide the direction of the Foundation’s efforts and encourage others who are working to improve decision quality in health care.
